Educational Qualification & Odia Language Proficiency

Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:

A. Essential Educational Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Basic Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in computer operations, internet, email, word processing, data analysis, and presentation.

B. Compulsory Odia Language Proficiency (Any ONE of the following):

  • Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject.
  • Passed HSC Examination with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects.
  • Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above from a Govt. recognized school in Odisha.
  • Passed a test in Odia of Middle English School standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Dept., Govt. of Odisha.

 

Age Limit & Relaxation (as on 01/01/2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Odisha Government rules.
    • SC/ST/SEBC/Women/PwD Candidates: 5 Years
    • Ex-Servicemen: 5 Years (subject to conditions)
    • PwD + SC/ST Candidates: 15 Years

 

Application Fee Details

  • General / EWS / OBC Candidates: ₹500/-
  • SC / ST / PwD / PhD Candidates: Exempted (No Fee)

Selection Process

The selection will be a three-stage process:

  1. Preliminary Examination (CBT):
    • Mode: Computer-Based Test (Objective MCQ)
    • Total Marks: 150
    • Duration: 150 Minutes
    • Subjects: General Awareness (50 Q), Mathematics (50 Q), English & Comprehension (25 Q), Computer Basics (25 Q).
    • Negative Marking: 0.25 mark deducted for each wrong answer.
  2. Main Examination:
    • Paper-I (Odia & English): 100 Marks (MCQs + Translation/Precis Writing)
    • Paper-II (General Studies): 100 Marks (Objective + Short/Descriptive)
  3. Document Verification: Final selection will be subject to verification of all original certificates and documents.
