for 95 vacancies for the posts of Professor, Associate
Professor, and Assistant Professor across various PG Departments and
Lingaraj Law College. Candidates below 60 years who possess essential qualifications
as per UGC Regulations (Master's/Ph.D./NET/SLET/SET as applicable) are eligible
to apply.
The online application process started on 07 May
2026, and as per the latest notice, the last date has been extended
up to 21 June 2026 (Midnight). Candidates can apply online through the
Berhampur University website buodisha.edu.in.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the
closing date of online application submission (21 June 2026, Midnight).
Qualifications must be from a recognized University established under Central
Act, Provincial Act, State Act, or an Institution recognized by the UGC.
Qualifications and selections are as per UGC Regulations Notification
No. F.1-2/2017(EC/PS), 18th July 2018 and as amended from time to
time.
For Professor (Pay Level-14):
Option A:
- Ph.D.
degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with published work of
high quality.
- Minimum
of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or
UGC-listed journals.
- Total
research score of 120 as per UGC criteria.
- Minimum
of 10 years of teaching/research experience at
university/college level with evidence of guiding doctoral candidates.
Option B:
- Outstanding
professional with Ph.D. degree in relevant/applied disciplines from
academic institutions/industry.
- Significant
contribution to knowledge with documentary evidence.
- 10
years of experience.
For Associate Professor (Pay Level-13A):
- Ph.D.
Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
- Master's
Degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
- Minimum
of 8 years of teaching/research experience equivalent to
Assistant Professor.
- Minimum
of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed
journals.
- Total
research score of 75 as per UGC criteria.
For Assistant Professor (Pay Level-10):
Option A:
- Master's
Degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
- Must
have cleared NET/SLET/SET (exempted for Ph.D. holders as
per UGC Regulations).
- As
per UGC Notification dated 30th June 2023: "NET/SET/SLET shall be the
minimum criteria for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant
Professor."
Option B:
- Ph.D.
degree obtained from a foreign university ranked among top 500 in QS, THE,
or ARWU rankings.
