✅ Eligibility Criteria

All eligibility conditions must be fulfilled as on the date of advertisement (12 June 2026), except for the Nursing Council registration requirement, which must be valid as on the date of submission of the online application form.

 

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must satisfy all three of the following:

1. Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 or its equivalent.
2. Professional Qualification: Hold a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) or BSc Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
3. Registration: Must be registered with the Nursing Council in the State of Odisha and possess a valid Registration or Renewal Certificate as on the date of online application submission.
4. Odia Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write Odia (proficiency certificate required as per notification).

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• ST, SC, PwDs, Ex-Servicemen, Sportsperson: 30%
• All other candidates: 35%

Tie-breaking sequence: (a) fewer wrong attempts; (b) higher percentage in GNM/BSc Nursing; (c) age seniority; (d) higher marks in +2; (e) Commission's discretion.

Stage 2 – Provisional Master Merit List

• Prepared in order of marks/normalized scores.
• Candidates meeting minimum qualifying marks shortlisted for Document Verification (1.25 times the number of vacancies).

Stage 3 – Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates appear before the District Level Board with original documents.

Stage 4 – Provisional Select List

• Equal to the number of advertised vacancies, based on merit, availability, and district preference.

• New User: Click "Apply Online" and complete registration.
• Registered User: Click "Re-registration" under the Applicant Menu.

Step 3: Complete Registration Form

• Keep ready: scanned signature (20-50 KB), scanned passport-size photograph (20-100 KB), valid email ID, and mobile number.

Step 4: Login and Fill Application Form

• After successful registration, log in and fill the Online Application Form.
• Indicate district preferences (up to the districts available) in order of priority.

Step 5: Upload Documents

• Upload required documents as per the guidance of the online system.

Step 6: Pay Application Fee

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid
