Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2026 for recruitment to 6,557
Technician posts, covering Technician Grade-I Signal and 24 categories of
Technician Grade-III across various Zonal Railways and Production Units. The
online application process opens on 30 June 2026 and closes
on 29 July 2026 (23:59 hrs).
Candidates aged 18 to 33 years (Grade-I Signal) or 18 to 30
years (Grade-III) with the prescribed technical qualifications can apply
through the official RRB websites.

Payment must be made online through internet banking,
debit/credit cards, or UPI.
📝 Selection Process
- Computer
Based Test (CBT): Single CBT of 90 minutes with 100 questions and
negative marking of 1/3rd mark per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks:
40% (UR/EWS), 30% (OBC-NCL/SC), and 25% (ST).
- Document
Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted at a 1:1 ratio against
vacancies based on CBT merit, RRB-wise. Original documents must be produced.
- Medical
Examination (ME): Conducted as per the medical standard (A3, B1,
B2, or C1) prescribed for the specific post.
📝 How to Apply
(Step-by-Step)
- Visit
the official RRB portal: rrbapply.gov.in.
- Click
on "Create an Account" and enter name, father's
name, mother's name, and date of birth exactly as per your Matriculation
certificate.
- Complete
identity verification using Aadhaar or other valid government photo ID.
- Login
and fill the online application form, selecting your preferred RRB and Pay
Level (5 or 2).
- Provide
order of preference for posts under the chosen RRB and Pay Level.
- Capture
your live photograph through webcam or mobile camera
(pre-existing photos are not accepted).
- Upload
your signature in JPG/JPEG format (30–49 KB, black ink on white paper).
- Pay
the examination fee online.
- Submit
the application and save the registration number for future reference.
⚠️ Important Instructions
- A
candidate can apply to only one RRB for a given Pay
Level. Applying to multiple RRBs leads to rejection of all applications
and debarment from future RRB/RRC exams.
- Details
entered in "Create an Account" cannot be changed later. Match
them exactly with your Matriculation certificate.
- Only live-captured
photographs are accepted; printed photos cause summary rejection.
- Signatures
must be in cursive running handwriting with black ink.
Block letters are grounds for rejection.
- Fee
must be paid by 31 July 2026, two days after the application
deadline.
- Errors
(other than account details and chosen RRB) can be corrected only during
the modification window 01–10 August 2026 by paying ₹250
per modification.
