️ Crucial Eligibility Notes:

  • Cut-off Date: All qualifications must have been passed by 31st January 2026. Awaiting results = NOT ELIGIBLE.
  • Mode of Study: Only regular full-time courses from recognized institutes are valid. Part-time/Correspondence/Distance education is NOT accepted.
  • Higher Qualification: Candidates possessing/having completed BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc., are NOT ELIGIBLE.
  • Experience: Candidates with 1+ year of job experience after attaining the qualification are NOT ELIGIBLE.

 

Age Limit & Relaxation (as on 31/01/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Age Relaxation is applicable as per rules:
    • SC/ST: 5 Years
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
    • PwBD (General): 10 Years
    • PwD (SC/ST): 15 Years (10+5)
    • PwD (OBC-NCL): 13 Years (10+3)

 

Selection Process

The selection is merit-basedThere will be NO Written Test or Interview.

  1. Merit List Formation: A panel will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the essential qualification for the applied trade.
  2. Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie, the candidate older in age (earlier date of birth) will be ranked higher. If the DOB is also the same, higher matriculation (10th) percentage will be considered.
  3. Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to verification of original documents and being declared medically fit as per IOCL standards.

 

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply (Two-Step Process)

This recruitment has a MANDATORY two-step application process. Missing either step will lead to rejection.

Step 1: Register on Government Apprenticeship Portal (NAPS/NATS)

  • For Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator): Register on NAPS Portal - www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
  • For All Other Trades (Technician & Graduate Apprentice): Register on NATS Portal - https://nats.education.gov.in
  • Action: After registration, APPLY for the relevant opening using the Establishment ID of your chosen IOCL Region (provided in the official notification).

Step 2: Apply on IOCL Pipelines Portal

  1. Visit the IOCL Pipelines application portal: https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/
  2. Part-I Registration: Fill in basic details to generate a registration number.
  3. Part-II Registration: Log in, upload your photograph & signature, enter educational and NAPS/NATS registration details, and submit the final application.
  4. Use Same Credentials: You MUST use the same Email ID & Mobile Number in both Step 1 and Step 2.
  5. Print Confirmation: Take a printout of the final submitted application for future reference.
