Eligibility Criteria and Educational
Qualification
Candidates must meet the specific educational
qualifications and year of passing requirements to be considered for this
apprenticeship.

Qualification: Candidates must
possess a B.E. or B.Tech Degree in
any of the following streams:
o Civil Engineering
o Mechanical Engineering
o Electrical Engineering
o Instrumentation Engineering

Minimum
Marks:
o UR/OBC-NC Candidates: 60% aggregate in Engineering.
o SC/ST/PwD Candidates: 50% aggregate in Engineering (Passing
marks).

Year
of Passing: Only those
candidates who have completed their engineering degree on or after 1st
April 2023 are eligible. Candidates who graduated before this date
will not be considered.
Age Limit and Stipend

o Minimum Age: 18 years
o Maximum Age: 25 years (as on 2nd March 2026)

o OBC-NC: 3 years (Max 28 years)

Stipend: Selected candidates will receive a
monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/- .
o Breakdown: Rs. 20,500 will be paid by HPCL, and Rs. 4,500 will be
directly credited by the Government of India under the Direct Benefit Transfer
(DBT) scheme.
Selection Process
The selection for the Graduate Apprentice
Trainee posts will be based on the following stages:
1. Merit Screening: Shortlisting will be based on the
percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying engineering degree.
2. Shortlisting Ratio: Candidates will be called for document
verification in a ratio of 1:5 (i.e., 5 candidates per
vacancy).
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce
original documents for verification.
4. Final Merit List: A final merit list will be published
based on academic scores.
5. Post-Selection: Selected candidates must clear a medical
examination and police verification before joining.
